Home visits

Home visits are for housebound or frail patients, and patients who are genuinely too ill to come into the surgery. Lack of transport is not a valid reason for a home visit. Where possible, requests for a home visit should be made before 10.30am.

Our patient advisers will ask the reason for the visit as well as a number of other questions to help our doctors prioritise urgent cases, please give as much information as possible.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in surgery, in the time it takes to do a home visit.
